Traffic Warden - special place in HELL!!!

I only want the parent and child bay to be wider so I can open the doors wide enough to get my giant bottom and a toddler in without bashing other peoples cars. However when I have mentioned this to other parents they want them by the shop so there is less chance of the kidlets running in traffic (which I don't really get but maybe mine aren't in the running off and not listening phase yet). I am finding asda and some other places think the latter is more desirable so there parent child spaces are normal sized and by the entrance, or have one refuge(?) for two spaces (useless if you have kids both sides of the car) so I don't bother using them.

Might seem an unnecessary luxury to some, but getting kids into the uber car seats they have to have much longer these days, especially when the kid doesn't want to, does require a fully opened door sometimes, and unlike some I would feel awful if I touched someone else's car in the process.

This.

Getting kids in and out of the car in a standard parking space without knocking the adjacent car is nigh on impossible. I wouldn't mind them being a walk from the shop. Of thee aren't any child spaces empty, I park there anyway, as you're less likely to have someone parked right next to you when you come back.

Au contraire, I find parking miles away from the destination in the most deserted corner of the carpark is a sure fire way to find some fecker parked a fagpaper width away from your car when you return.

Bub2006 I enjoy going to matlock for a mooch around the bikes and to get fish and chips on a Sunday every so often, but I've never seen the wardens doing their best nazi impression, I'll keep an eye out for them

It may be that it was parked legally and undamaged just a few yards forward, then it took a wallop from a skip wagon (or whatever) and was shoved back onto the double-yellows.

Had a warden walk past and ignore me, earlier.

EVEN THOUGH I WAS BREAKING THE LAW!!

I would shake his hand, if they weren't all cunts. :-)

Doesn't look like a parking ticket - it's not stuck to the screen and just looks like an A5 flyer put under the wiper.

It`s not often we get the opportunity to get our own back on the queen bees...

I had to go into Bolton, and knew I`d only be parked for 10 mins or so, hence I decided to risk it. Sure enough on my return, she was there, note book in hand taking down my details. I knew she was just doing her job and was in the right so I decided to be polite, and admitted I thought I`d get away with it... she smiled and said I wouldn`t on her patch.

Now, my car`s number was RHW ***M. Looking at the ticket she was writing she`d written RWH ***M  understandable since the registration for Bolton in those days was WH. I was just about to tell her when common sense intervened... consequently I smiled and accepted the ticket. Returning  home I did consider ignoring the ticket, but realised that some poor guy MAY have RWH ***M, so wrote to the council explaining that I did not own a vehicle with the registration number RWH ***M, and would be unable to pay the fine...

The result was a letter from the council stating that they were cancelling the ticket - BUT I was not to do it again !!!
