A lil help please

Mrs Maxpower has managed to get her ignition key stuck in the ignition   at first key wouldn't turn so she couldn't drive it... i went down sprayed some WD40 in it thinking this would shift the key... managed to turn it to get it started and drove it home... but still can't get the key out..it won't go that final turn in order for key to come out.......any ideas???

what kind of car is it?

Is it an auto? A lot of auto's won't let you take the key if not properly into park. The shite sculling about in the centre console on mine can get in mechanism

yep it's an auto...tried moving the gears then go back into park..still no joy

 

might be like you say...all the crap and shite that has clogged it up.... she is very untidy in her car lol

if its jamming then try and get it to pos 1 and leave it there os thats the position the keys needs to be in to remove the lock barrel. on most cars anyway

Could it not be like on Civics of a similar age where you have to push the key inwards to allow it to turn from I to O?
