Car vacuum - talk to me

Anyone got any advice on a really good vacuum cleaner for the car? I may possibly be able to get my hands on a Henry at some point, are they as good as people say? My domestic one doesn't seem to do much past getting the worst off...

Henry helped me clean out the car this morning after taking old carpets to the tip - fluff everywhere. He wasn't very sucky though as he was still full of dust from sanding polyfilla, which is his usual duties. TBH, Herr Miele, does a much better job of both the car and the house. Henry and Herr Miele don't really get on in our house.

Polish vacuum cleaners do the job for very little.

1981 Henry for me , uprated motor fitted by someone in the know  , bloody evil thing and would probably suck the shit from a constipated arsehole .

I recommend the Vaeiiiim Biush & Toteh.

How quality does this look? The second I saw this I could feel the sheer weighty quality of its convenient gun shape in my hand. You know this thing just exudes quality from every inch of its well moulded plastic body. You know those buttons are carefully weighted and damped, and slide in and out of the handle with an undeniable satisfaction. Don't be fooled by this vacuum's whisper silence, you are guaranteed a bulging dust scrotum after every use.

Also it has a torch.

I have our cast off Henry (replaced by another one )

Could suck start a Harley and tough as hell. Avoid the earlex / wikes clones . Too tall and easy to pull over , short lead and could wake the dead.

Thanks all, fingers crossed I've got dibs on one shortly to be replaced. Should be perfect for what I want.

Do quite like that one with the torch though ;)

I have an electric one from aldi, but to be honest, it's rather heavy and needs frequent charging. Although it was only £15. You're better off with a home one and an extension lead.

^ this.

I have a Nilfisk GS that my parents bought in 1986. Sucks like a Bangkok hooker, and has never gone wrong.
