The following series is from the 1964 East African Safari Rally.

And yes, there will be the odd colour photo, simply because I find them historically significant enough to not omit them.

 

Apart from the usual who is who of the World of rallying, the most notable entries are the three Bill Stroppe prepared Mercury Comet Calientes,

driven by

Ray Brock/Norman Greatorex

Joginder Singh/Jaswant Singh.

Mr Singh was a hero.

I'm not denying that, but why was he getting a trophy for coming 21st? It must have been his worst ever Safari Result.
