The French are/were a little more egalitarian.

Car parks were so much more interesting in 1978.

1970.

Starting to look a little shabby round the edges.

All was quiet on that Sunday afternoon.

Then the unmistakable paaaaaaarp of a Moggie Thou exhaust note broke the silence.

Onwards, on it's journey.

Maybe it's still driving around.

Paaaaaaaarp, crunch-gears, paaaaaaaaaaaaarp.

Onwards into the futuristic 1970s of plastic and Spangles and David Bowie.

People have probably seen this film. Surprising how new some of the old cars wereThis Packard Patrician - its the top model would have been no more than 14 years old. It was superbly engineered - the last of the straight-8's. Expect it was the gearbox, rust or some minor problem that doomed this.

Could have been a problem with the CAN-bus electrics, it randomly going into limp mode with no error codes logged, or possibly an ABS error which defies repair by the finest motor-car engineer.

Crystal-meth deal going down, 1974.

Bloke in the boilersuit has just come from his 'lab', whilst the chap on the right wearing the suit is making arrangements to 'get off his face, yo'.

Both gentlemen are 'perps'.

^ Just kids playing.

Strathclyde rozzers will be along in a few years to sort them out.

Check out the rimz on the Mk1 Cappa. But are they gen Dunlop D1 alloys or plastic Autoplas push-ons from local motor factors?

^^ Fantastic. Great find, I wouldn't have found that. For some reason I had Autoplas in my mind.

The gen Dunlop alloys were a lot more curvy. Very popular aftermarket wheels in their day (std on Avenger Tigers) and I like them.

Dunlop even did a 3-stud 9-spoke D1 alloy for 70s Renaults.

Wonder if anyone actually fitted 4-bolt cosmetic trims onto 3-bolt Renault steel wheels.

Devon / Renner contrast. At first glance I thought the Austin was a Jowett Javelin.
