It's a Chris Craft model 511 on top of a 1935 Hudson Terraplane.

Did you ever visit the world-famous cars and girls threads? - pics were often recycled three or four times. I'd forgotten it'd already been posted.

 

Good point about whether pics are originally taken on black and white film (or not), I think there are quite a few if you travel back through these pages.

Henry Clifford "Cliff" Allison born 1932 was a British racing driver who participated in Formula One during seasons 1958 to 1961 for the Lotus, Scuderia Centro Sud, Ferrari and UDT Laystall teams.

Cliff Allison thrown out of his Ferrari during practice at the 1960 F1 Monaco GP, he was unconscious for 16 days.

 

He retired from GP racing in 1961 and ran the family garage and school bus in Brough, where he was born (and died, in 2005).

I did, and 3 or 4 times might be an underestimate. In fact I post there (in the last month) a grumble about the quantity of repeats.
