New French chod. Shit collection thread. Good car. GR8 Seller.

So, I discovered that the Puma was causing Sportlet-leg-squash, and decided to buy something bigger.....

Andy18s of this very parish just happened to put his 306 XSi up for grabs, and I was on it. After a bit of a mad week, and no time to get Mrs S to run me down to sunny Shropshire, I decided that the train was the way to go. So, early this morning, me and young lad Sporty set off on his second train powered chod collection. Not bad for a three year old.

So early doors, we set off from Daisy Hill, home of Sporty Towers, in search of a rendez-vous at Whitchurch railway station.

First train was this one:

Straight to Wigan, before catching a posh Virgin thing to Crewe, then another old commuter through to Whitchurch.

At this point, I began to fail at photos, as the connections for the trains were close enough to warrant a rush, and I had my hands full with Junior!

So, we arrived at Whitchurch, and were met by Andy in the 306. A quick look around and cash was exchange, a V5 signed and we were on our way.

MONEY SHOT

It's a nice thing. It needs a couple of jobs doing, but nothing I wasn't told about before I made the trip. Drove well on the way home, and is spacious enough for the Rascals in the back, so job done.

Went to Euro Car Parts for a handbrake cable and drop link for it this afternoon, and saw my only spot of the day, so I'll put it here:

Well that's it. I know it's a crap collection thread, but lets face it, after Ratdat's French adventure, it was always going to be a disappointment!

There are more pictures of cars than children.

Hey, don't best yourself up, it's got all the classic ingredients. (Although there's no pic of your breakfast.)

Good looking car. Never owned a Pug but had a few 306s as rentals and really liked them. Last one before Peugeot discovered ugliness in a big way, too.

I have lots of lurve for the 306, they are decent motors, quite hard to fault really.

I still miss my D Turbo.

Great purchase, and from the era before Peugeot styled all their cars to resemble deep sea creatures.

That looks superb, last facelift high spec 306s with cyclones really are the last good looking Pugs IMO.

+1 on Cyclones. I had a set on my 309 Goodwood, it looked the mutt's nuts.

We have a 306 DTurdo breaking here so may have some bits if you need owt Chris.

Very nice! In black they're better looking than the GTi6 IMO.

Also, I've never seen a 323 saloon like that, only the hatch and fastback...

Those saloons are everywhere you look in Cyprus!  ;-)

Ooh, I might. The heater blower doesn't work and it's stuck on hot. I haven't investigated fuses and relays yet, but I might need resistor pack and control panel is it's an A/C car. Can't be doing with it being too hot now summer's coming!

Nice looking car that, comes up quite clean since the for sale pics Andy18 posted up. Looks like a 306 GTI

The breaker is a pre-facelift, pretty sure there's no a/c on it. I'll have a look at the setup for you though.
