1989  Sierra 1.8 GL auto

Mot october 2014

no Tax

104k

Looks a bit  rough but Runs and drives very well

Previous  owner had the cam belt snap so had a recon head fitted   also had a recon autobox a few years ago  , its had the rear sills welded and doesnt appear to need any other welding

Would come up well with a polish

electric front windows , electric locking , no power steering

Would consider a swap for a Magentis Auto

It wouldn't be the first Sierra to be weighed in for a Kia, though.....GLWTS Mr Stix that does not seem a lot  of money for a proper wheel drive Fordy and would be worth putting away for the winter.  If I had room.....

Now that is what I call a happy ending.  One day our Sierras will be worth a fortune Stix, they're going to have values like Mk1 Escorts and we'll be able to retire.

Dream on 8)

Pedant mode !

They are ghia alloys , pepper pots were the ones on Mk2 xr2s werent they?

Over the years I have heard XR2, Capri Injection ,Sierra Ghia and of course Jag S3 Sovereign. wheels referred to as Pepperpots .

I thought only the MK2 XR2 wheels were Pepperpots, but I guess Capri and Sierra wheels are near enough the same just a few mere inches bigger.

Who remembers dog legs and egg poachers? Great wheel names.

I really fancy another Sierra but the nice one's seem to sell straight away (or are overpriced) and everything else seems to end up with people who just want to drift them and wreck them.

That mint A reg burgundy 1.6 Ghia which was recently on ebay and on Retrorides has already started being mess around, ok it's only Pepperpots for now but the guys fitting a tuned 2.0 engine and plans on lowering it etc. :(

The end of a nice original car.

That will end up borked and parked on an overgrown front council garden listed on Ebay as an unfinished project in about 12 months time.

Looks superb now that you've polished it 8)

Also, I've just rooted out my cassette copy of "The Best of Belinda Volume 1" to listen to in The Wentworth as a result of seeing the interior photos :)
