We have had a similar issue at the church I am in the choir at. The Medieval tower has housed bells certainly since the 16th century. It is in a back lane in a growing town and in the early 2000's some houses were built opposite it. One of the new residents complained about the bells a few years ago and we had the local environmental health come around and tell us to ring the bells less! We haven't however and as far as I know there have been no more complaints but the idiot must have noticed that there was a busy working parish church opposite his newly built shoebox! The tall (150' or so) tower tends to give it away!

I am not sure where I stand on the petition I disagree with banger racing older vehicles, the Austin Maxi page on Facebook has recently been the scene of controversy/argument/disagreement over the subject but I can't abide stupid planning regulations where common sense seems to be cast aside!

I have signed petitions against the building of HS2 for example!

Mallory Park in Leics has just reopened after the locals, many of whom weren't born when racing started there, complained and drove the owners out of business with fines.

I'm hoping now they're racing again, houses will be dirt cheap and I can move there.

If the stadium operators do lose this case and have to close it down, then perhaps they should turn the site over to a travellers' cooperative or something? I'm sure the homeowner couple would be more than happy with that.

I put my name to the petition. Anything on here mentioning bangers is asking for trouble but the precedent being set is frightening. This comes up in the local paper in Edinburgh every so often, a couple complaining about the noise outside their city centre flat at weekends, along with a picture of then looking angry... YOU BOUGHT A FLAT ABOVE A NIGHTCLUB YOU JAMES HUNTS! This kind of pish really winds me up.

Fuck I'm getting old!

My house is about 500 yards from the motorway. If I complain enough can I get the motorway closed? I'm a reasonable person though, I don't expect them to close it completely and after all I did know it was there when I moved in.

So on that basis I'd like to request that Lancashire County Council close the M65 on sunny afternoons and I'll put up with the rest if they give me compensation.

It's all Bolleaux. When I was working on the dairy farm the incomers (to the most eggspencive village in Barnsley) started complaining about muck spreading at night/weekends/bank holidays/weekdays because they'd moved to a village surrounded by farms.

My old gaffer (bless you Jim - if there's interweb in the sky) was an old arable farmer so soil condition was a major concern. Muck spreading and any other operations that meant a tractor/land interface were only undertaken when the ground could take it without compaction etc.

Basically because the farm was part of the Estate and the grumbling twunts in the village were tenants or folk that had bought one of the few council houses (complained to the council), he/we were only allowed to spread on a weekday when the rich twunts were at work in Leeds/Manc/Londinium.

Eat the rich.

We didn't have an active military approach either...

Fooking incomers.

This supreme court judge, who ruled in favour of those two total deadfucks, you know, his house should be surrounded, and electricity and water supply shut off. The gas should be left on.
