Evening all.

Just a wee plug for a little project that myself, cms206, RML2345 and Spiney Norman have been picking away at - Audioshite FM. It's the perfect shitty radio station companion for your shitty car. Playing all the best* chart topping* smash hits* from across the ages!

Tune in at the arse end of the dial or better still, head over to the global access Faceache page - https://www.facebook.com/audioshite (no Facebook account required to view the content).

Hope to see y'all there!

-Dave.

Poptastic!

After a brief technology fail ('shouldn't I be able to hear something?') I got the hang of it and now have My Seven Forty Car playing on a loop.

^ We're still trying* to get on extra medium wave...

In the meantime, CouponPamphlet will play host to the sort of tunes you were glad you'd forgotten.

Well, then me hearties--Ahoy!

Check out Mr. Stephen Dunifer. I first heard of him 20 years ago, soon after building my own transmitter site:

My version uses a transmitter from a CD changer and a cable TV amp. Or several, depending on how much trouble I feel like getting in.

As long as I keep it to less than a quarter of a watt then it's legal to transmit on a vacant channel of the FM band. 1/4 watt is still plenty of power, since it can get you heard for around 1 city block.

Audioshite sign-on music? Theme song perhaps?

Cliff Richard - Wired for Sound?

YES! Best Cliff song (and video) of all! :D

I've got one of them Belkin FM transmitters. Plug it into your phone, tune it to a blank frequency, tune your radio to the same frequency, bingo. You get fairly alright tunes from one side of your car to another.

A couple of quick alterations with a soldery iron and it pumps up the output power somewhat. I got clear reception at the end of the street from it plugged in in my house  GR8 for jamming Radio 1 Broadcasts at the traffic lights.
