My thread of car collectioning

Oh that's good! A local pizza place I used to deliver for has two 80 gallon barrels full of used VO, I might go and ask.

The 'LOOMOBILE' only has one previous owner with (believe it or not) full service history, and had to sell the car as he had to surrender his license because he was TOO OLD.

I quickly snapped this pic from the taxi last night - we actually followed the car to the meeting place, as he hastily parked it behind one of the houses:

What a heap. Noice.

I'm not one for polishing but I'd be giving that a good clean on the inside.

There's an estate in the local scrappy - it has a tow bar, but will also replace all the broken bits off that one. :)

I will be giving it a Sainsbury's hoover tonight, my hoover's going nowhere near it!

Ah bugger I was fairly close with my 406 Diesel guess. Looks grim in every way shape and form.

However I do think some tiny clues should be had when collecting shite for us poor non shite collecting paupers at our keyboards, saying a german petrol when collecting a french diesel aint fair!!!!

Nice! My father in law owned L53 LOO for years before selling it to his brother in law, I have a photo of it on my PC, im guessing the original seller was Sterling Motor Group in Colchester then?.

I was given the job of selling his one, looking back I wish I kept it as it was a bloody nice car being the turbo diesel, think it was only £300 too.

That looks nothing like a Porsche 911 Targa.  This place isn't what it used to be, does nobody keep their promises any more?

Is that the headlining in the boot?

I bet you still drove it home (with the addition of some new bulbs).

No, that's just a blanket over the luggage. The headliner, as the rest of the car, was mint!

Didn't drive it for another inch. It was pronounced dead there and then.

Had to continue with some inexpressibly miserable newfangled shit, which has left me traumatised.

Beyond mint, borderline lush.  What a damned shame.  I hope no physical injuries were involved!

I was slightly wrong, it was L58 LOO. It was a lovely car to drive and had only done 110k, I wish i bought it off my wife's uncle now.

Finally took it for a hoover and a car wash. Interior came out quite nice, but took two goes to get everything nearly.

Then through a 'Premium' car wash.

It did a really good j ... OMG THE WINDOW'S LEAKING!!!!!

Well, the week so far has been uneventful. I really like my new shitty Peugeot, it has made me look forward to my European jaunt in April, and I'm slowly preparing it so it doesn't break down 1000 miles from home. I always preferred Citroens over Peugeots, they were a bit more classy, but wasn't that impressed with Minimad's BX, something of which I've wanted for years. It feels much bigger inside than the BX.

There was a slight* diesel leak from a few of the leak off pipes:

This was only from standing for a couple of minutes. I think I lost half of my diesel through this.

My ma n pa couldn't believe I was putting cooking oil in the car, and my ma pleaded to not put anymore in.

Get in there!

If you're ever up this way Dave, we have loads of processed WVO at 40p/litre. Give us a shout and call in for a brew.

(We're at BD23).
