Old 80s Reg. No. Font

Hi all, ages ago (possibly pre archive purge) there was chat about that old retro reg. number font that was squared off and looked well fly. Does anyone know its name?

I am quite fond of the modern-ish Rover numberplates which are in a raised letter-style font. My K-reg 825D had them.

My Golf has quite a cool font on the front 'plate too

Bloody pen pushers must be proud of themselves, so you cant even buy "non-legal" fonts/spacing/images/slogans just for show (As in personal use, in the house/garage) fantastic

No, Northern Ireland is still the UK. There are, or were, people in the ROI who sell UK-type "show" plates in any style you can imagine except the one I want.
