Registration Plate font

Does anyone know what font is used for the characters here on a 1989 Peugeot?

 

I'm getting DMB graphics to make me up some plates for me in a period font, but he wasn't sure what particular one was as they apparently used 4 or 5 different ones at the time.

 

 

Any ideas?

No he's doing it in the standard period font which I can live with, was just intrigued to know what this one actually was; suppose if he doesn't know no one will!

Pretty sure that the plates would have been sourced locally by the dealer.

Actually I remember now, the parts department used to make them up on a machine, so they must have sourced the letters separately.

Can't be too hard for him to check against the styles used at the time and consult with you, surely?
