brickwall Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 She is a cute one, but sadly I have no need for a traktor anymore, apart from slowing tourists up
Spiny Norman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Haha, so it IS actually a tractor. I was expecting to see OMGDIZZLROWDI or similar....If I was nearer, had any money, had somewhere to put it etc etc.... GLWTS anyway.

scruff Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 B series Inters are for winners. Starter http://www.tractorparts.co.uk/704447r92-starter-motor-lever-engaged-b250-b275-b414-88-p.asp Or try someone like Patrick Edwards for a used one, might take a bit of hunting though. I've said it before but if it runs and works ok otherwise it's a bargain at £1000 ono. It's even got good tyres!!
scooters Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Parts for vintage tractors are very easy to find because the tractors themselves were made of indestructinamium and many are therefore still used for their original purpose. New and reconditioned starters are readily available. Its easier getting parts than it is for the cx Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
Pillock Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 If I were richer I'd buy it Mrs_Pillock for her birthday. She's from Lincolnshire so gets moist at the sight of a nice "tra'or"1957 with V5 so no need for MoT, free tax just like a car? Looks ideal to take to Sainsburys on a Saturday, get the nice strong carrier bags and sling them on the pointy bits on the front.
Guest Tony Hayers Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Wait for the scene tax to kick in on these bad boys lol Instead of hitting it with the lowering stick try this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQvikmrxZQM
New POD Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Where would one get a starter motor for this? Lucas ? Worst case you take it to someone advertising Motor rewinds. ?
Guest nothing Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Just lost my custard over this. Serious wantage. smellmycheese 1
scooters Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 Lucas ? Worst case you take it to someone advertising Motor rewinds. ? starter motor is fine - the problem lies with the spindle which only has 1/2 of its teeth left and the spindle end of the motor which is cracked. These have no starter solenoid - the spindle is shot home by manually pulling the starter lever. Other than that it looks very similar to the Lucas starter motor you get on series diesel landys
