Felly Magic Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Can't wait for the Cavcraft midget one!It would need to feature his dog, looking pissed off with it vulgalour and Cavcraft 2
vulgalour Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 Commission for shiter CraigThePrincess to be a gift for Mrs CtP. I've not worked on coloured paper for an absolute age. The request was to try and get Applejack since that's the colour of the Allegro in question, and amazingly Hobbycraft do an extremely close match straight off the shelf. Rather than my usual smooth Bristol Board, this is done on slightly textured cardstock which doesn't scan quite as well and is a bit of a nuisance to get true to original in colour. Still, it's a late Allegro in Applejack so what's not to like, right? Lacquer Peel, Jim Bergerac, oldcars and 15 others 18
wuvvum Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Without wanting to sound patronising, these are getting better and better. Cavcraft and trigger 2
vulgalour Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice....
vulgalour Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Had a thought this afternoon, while working on commissions and whatnot. Fancy doing an image of an Allegro, Princess, or Ambassador on the wonk with a big slab of text that reads HYDRASAG underneath it. Too niche for printables? chaseracer and Ghosty 2
Station Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 They are looking great, don't stop doing the colour ones though! vulgalour 1
vulgalour Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Hmm... I realise I seem to have lost some posts, that'll be the big 2016 Forum Fire then. Here's a commission of a Japanese car I did. captain_70s, fordperv, worldofceri and 1 other 4
vulgalour Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Here's another Negative Space commission too. Turns out that red paper and ordinary graphite pencils are brain meltingly eye buzzy to work with. The end result was worth the effort, the customer was quite happy with this rendition of his MG Maestro. worldofceri, captain_70s and fordperv 3
vulgalour Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Buttery Biscuit Base. captain_70s, pshome, trigger and 5 others 8
vulgalour Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 A 70s musclecar but not the Dodge you were expecting. I am rather partial to a Challenger, especially if it's in a lurid colour with ridiculous amounts of rake and rubber. What's even better is you can get this one printed on things here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/angylroper/works/22572084-dodge-challenger?asc=u&c=558699-dodge pshome, captain_70s, worldofceri and 3 others 6
vulgalour Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Been wanting to create this image for some time. It's not the first Citroen DS I've drawn but it is the first I've drawn that you can get printed on things: http://www.redbubble.com/people/angylroper/collections/558739-citroen?asc=u It comes in a variety of different colours too. mercrocker, worldofceri, face and 6 others 9
fordperv Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 The buttery biscuit base would look utterly fantastic as a negative space picture, just think of the dangly mirrors
vulgalour Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 Here's a little something I did for @naughtymutt over on Twitter of their bright pink Renault 4 called Fleur. Printables available of Fleur too! http://www.redbubble.com/people/angylroper/works/22800630-renault-4-fleur-la-voiture Skizzer, tonedepear, worldofceri and 5 others 8
vulgalour Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 I've just edited the post since the lady the picture was made for asked if printables could be made available, so they now are.
Dick Cheeseburger Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 A 70s musclecar but not the Dodge you were expecting. I am rather partial to a Challenger, especially if it's in a lurid colour with ridiculous amounts of rake and rubber. 2016-90.jpg What's even better is you can get this one printed on things here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/angylroper/works/22572084-dodge-challenger?asc=u&c=558699-dodge That is fantastic. And the Renner Quatre. Like. pshome and vulgalour 2
vulgalour Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 Autoshite don't do time machines, but if they did... Just picked up the e-mail to let me know the original arrived safe and sound with the customer (might be Pillock on here, I'm not sure, request came via Twitter). I don't need to tell you what this is, do I? worldofceri, PhilA and pshome 3
Pillock Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 It is indeed I, and I am indeed properly chuffed with it - and I'm sure my BTTF-geek mate will love it.Ironically I've missed his birthday by ordering it late so even though Vulg worked his nips off and finished it really quickly, I need a time machine to get it to him The scanning-saving process loses a bit of quality if I'm honest (or I've got a crap screen on my laptop), as the original is even more betterer looking than that image. A PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS WOULD SEND VAGUE HALF BAKED IDEAS TO AGAIN vulgalour 1
vulgalour Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 Everyone comments on how much better the originals look, there is quite a bit lost in the scanning process and nothing I can do about it beyond a bit of post processing to pull it back. Then there's the compression needed to upload it online for easy viewing. Not as much of an issue with prints as I can upload far larger files that aren't compressed, but originals are always best. HALF BAKED IDEAS BEST IDEAS ShiteRider 1
vulgalour Posted August 17, 2016 Author Posted August 17, 2016 For shiter TagoraSX, it's... a TAGORA. One thing this did teach me is that for all the Tagora looks like it was designed with rulers there's barely a straight line on the thing. fordperv, ShiteRider, worldofceri and 2 others 5
vulgalour Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 A recently completed commission for a shiter whose username I've forgotten. Far more modern than my usual content but no less enjoyable to work on because of it, there's a lot of very satisfying shapes to draw in this design. worldofceri, fordperv and RayMK 3
wuvvum Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I'm just wondering how good the DAFt would look as a negative space drawing.
vulgalour Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 It would be well suited as it's got lots of contrast going on as standard. Drop me a PM, we can talk shop Alanism 1
PhilA Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Had my picture framed, put it up on the wall. Austin badge colors Phil vulgalour, captain_70s and Craig the Princess 3
Pillock Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Because I'm a massive skinflint, I waited until my mate got married and I went to the reception to give him both a wedding present, and the DeLorean that Vulg had done for me to give him as a birthday pressie.(It needed to go to Aylesbury, and I was concerned that it'd get smashed in the post or summat) I did explain that this was a birthday present, and a thank you for helping me out at work, but he insisted on opening it there and then. He fucking loved it and insisted on putting it on the table with all the other wedding stuff. vulgalour, Craig the Princess and trigger 3
vulgalour Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 I missed that post! That's a brilliant little story, proper put a grin on my face has that.
vulgalour Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 I've been flat out with work and a bad back lately so there's not been much by way of updates here. Here, however, is a commission that I've done for PhilA's parental unit of the Sprite you've seen earlier in this thread. Normally my work is standard paper sizes, most often A4, but this one is different, it's square. There's a lot of nostalgia and happiness gone into this with inspiration from Phil's descriptions of family trips and 35mm Cinefilm pictures and movies. Primarily completed in watercolour and ink outlining, it has some coloured ink additions to make the autumnal colours pop out vibrantly. RayMK, Ghosty, PhilA and 6 others 9
vulgalour Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 Postcard commissions, A6 in size, are now available. For one like this, with a background, it's just £15 Without a background, it's just £10. I'll be making some ready-made ones to sell at the same price today so there'll be more examples. Price includes postage. Just drop me a message if you'd like one and there may be enough time to get them before Christmas. tonedepear and DVee8 2
