So, official ad for the Disco. Sad times.

Land Rover Discovery 200Tdi Turbo Diesel
MOT: Sept '14
Tax: Mar '14
Miles: 180,000

A very reluctant sale. Solid chassis, boot floor ok, offside sill welded up only last month, nearside still to do. Drives well, recent timing belt/water pump/radiator. Comes with some spares. It's great off road and pretty good on it bar a weak 2nd gear synchromesh. This improves when warm after I did a full fluid change.

Has been used off-road, because that's what they were built for, but I don't thrash around Pay and Play sites - mainly just gentle greenlaning. Has a few scratches and dents but nothing too serious.

Blue interior, electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors, fully working heater.

No swaps as tax bill forces sale.

OMG CAMBER YO!

Refurbed wheels with good tyres - two are brand new.

Oh yes! I'm asking £945 elsewhere but I'm sure some could be chipped for for a 'Shiter.

I am not sure if it´s the right decision to sell your dream-car or the car that comes closest to your dream-car, if I read your blog right.

But I am sure it´s not my affair, so good luck with the sell!

I´m a bit sad to see it go, I have to admit... :-(

It would be Joe but the choice is sell the 2CV or sell the Land Rover. One of them has to go and having decided I can't live without a 2CV, the Land Rover is next on the block. Selling the Sirion isn't sensible as it's worthless and still cheap to get about it.

Sorry to hear you hand is forced to move it on but when the tax bill cometh etc,

The thorough approach youve taken with the bodyframe repairs is a big incentive to any buyer as too many of these are surviving on VOSA inspired patchwork

Tell me about it. When I bought the Maverick, I'd given up on Discos as they were all utterly dreadful AND very expensive. "All welding done!" Yeah, very badly!

Thanks. May have sorted a temporary solution to the finance issue, but my desire to keep it may yet be overcome by the right amount of folding stuff.

I hope you do find a way to keep it, Ian.

Tidy early Discos are VERY hard to find, and yours sounds like a good 'un.
