For Sale Rover 820SI 1996

Well I was looking at this as its been on the 800 forum and I like the look of it.  Lady is selling it on behalf of her dad who has owned it most of its life.  Its in Nightfire Red with 75k on the clock.  Not tax but MOT until March I think.  I was hoping to look at this with a view to a winter runner that I don't need but its in Sandbach and I won't be there until Christmas and they want it gone by November 20th and the scrap man is knocking!!

She has it advertised at 500 but she told me she wants 400 and would like it saving not scrapping.  To be fair the pics aren't the best - she also sent me some shots of the wheel arches that are going a bit rusty but nothing major.  The interior looks mint - its base small engine shite but still has toys from the looks of things.

I told her I would post on here - the ad is below and I can give her email or phone by PM if anyone is interested.  If it doesn't sell I fear I may up down in Sandbach this month too....

I haven't seen the car and not met the seller but she seems genuine and wants the car to be used!

I've seen this car on the 800 forum. These just don't seem to be selling. I think the infamous VeryTallBrad knows the seller aswell, it belonged to the seller father or something.

Basically I WOULD, but I've neither space or money as per bloody usual.

Has Mr. Boll purchased his 2 litre beater yet?

Looks a very tidy motor, and I`ve always liked that colour. A bargain at £400..........

Apparently she has an offer of 300 quid which she isn't happy with but seems there has been little or no other interest - thats bargain central in my mind......and its more that they would get in scrap

To be fair, if she wants £400+ then she doesnt have to take the offer of £300 just because its more than scrap.

True but I think they are just wanting rid and her dad is thinking of scrapping now so don't think they want to wait - not a good time of year to shift metal really!

These are really nice to drive in my experience, but almost impossible to sell.

Damn shame I'm not looking for another cheapo daily, I'd be on my way back from Sandbach about now.  Looks lush!  Sadly, I have too many cars already.

Felly is back on here he might have some tips for the seller
