Ribbed for extra pleasure

Is it just me or was was there, from the 1970s to the mid 1980s, a trend for ribbed tail-lights on cars?

 

Mercedes-Benz started it with the W123. Scrub that - the W116 predates this and that has ribbed tail-lights.

 

I can also think of the Facelifted Granada mark 2 from 1981 and the 1984-88 Austin Montego.

 

Can you think of any others?
