I've just bought a Volvo V40 off t'ebay, so my (t)rusty Astra must go, so I thought I'd give you chaps first dibs.She's an estate, 1.8 16v sport, in graphite grey.Good bits:Good tyres, goes like poo off a shovel, not too bad on juice, lots of bills, cambelt and sensor done last year, recent brakes, utterly reliable, I've had it nearly six years, and it's never let me down. Mot end October, no tax. Alloys, radio cassette, load cover, Bad bits: The bonnet is green after I rear-ended someone at a roundabout last xmas, and fitted a secondhand part. The drivers seat bolster has worn through, the rear arches are moth-eaten, and the o/s/f wing has been dented and beaten out. Theres numerous little dings and scratches, worst being the tailgate, madam reversed into a bollard and put a dent in it (bottom left, quite small) and then I took the plastic strip thing off. Thecoolant level warning comes on all the time, but my local garage had a look and said that the wiring in the top of the expansion tank had gone shitty, and "not to worry".I'll be sad to see her go, but I haven't got the time/knowledge/space to keep her and tart her up.I'm after £150 as thats what I've been offered scrap and by my local "Export to Africa" chappie.if all else fails, I'm going to stick it on evilbay at the weekend , It's half price listing!!)

Those faults are naff all and these are one of the most reliable cars you could ever buy. Arches an absolute doddle to fill and blow over and seat and bonnet a tenner a piece from a scrappy. £150 is weigh in money never mind export. I call BARGAIN.

I'd just weigh it in mate, as the price of scrap is dropping week by week. On the plus side, a V40 T4 is a nice bit of kit, I've always liked the look of them .

Man...I totally want this - but I don't get paid until 2 weeks time..It would have been a perfect daily driver/shitter - for work and me kids etc...I guess it's already scrapped?Shame...
