Angrydicky Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Just received a phone call and then an email from some guy who wants to sell his Austin 1300 project. I just spoke to you regarding my austin 1300 It is white and in reasonable condition barring the front drivers wing which needs welding,it comes with a host of spares including two doors, bonnet, lights, bumper, etc,i intended to restore her but it is too big a project for me.I am looking for £450, pounds for her as this what i payed for her,my phone number is **** and if i am not their please leave a message, i would like her to go to someone who can hopefully restore her back to the road yours faithfully colin morris It's a 1972 K reg model so will be tax exempt. It doesn't run and the clutch pedal won't move (hydraulics maybe?) He says it's very solid apart from the drivers side inner wing trumpet. Anyway it needs to go in the next week as the council are coming to tow it away apparently. It;s located in Harlow, Essex. PM me for details.
Cavcraft Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I love these cars, right up on my bucket list. I can't possibly save this but I hope someone can. Isn't there an OC for these on the internet, Dicky?
panhard65 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I might be interested in this for someone else but I have no plans to come to Harlow just yet but will be coming that way in the next month or so. As it has to be moved quickly would anyone be able to pick it up for me ? I do have storage in the Stansted area. Any pictures of it as I have to convince a 17 year old that it will be way cooler than a mini
Ghosty Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I am 17 and that's way cooler than a Mini. however I have £4.50p, not 450 and no insurance/welding money.

vulgalour Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 LS, you do know that ' is for feet and " is for inches right? Because I keep seeing you describe wheels in feet and it amuses me. Mind you, 22' wheels on a Range Rover would not surprise me.
Lord Sterling Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Yes, cheers Vulgz, I didn't know. Posts have now been edited.
Angrydicky Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 I'm sorry chaps, I asked the guy for some photos and he said he didn't know how to email them to me. I do have his phone number and email though if anyone's interested.
panhard65 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I have just bought an MG Midget for my other half's boy to restore. When he found out there was little difference in the cost of insurance it was no contest
