One of those interesting little stumbles

My brother alerted me to this the other night:www.glodark.co.ukOn the front page, under the heading "Most popular pages", click on "My cars".They`re all worth looking at, he`s quite a handy bloke and he likes his refelective tape, however the Austin A40 really is something else, I quite like what he did with it but it may not be to all tastes, in any case it MUST BE SEEN (copyright Autotrader 1987)

Interesting that he made his Austin A40 look a bit like a Chevette, then went out and bought a Chevette, which he promptly fitted a Marina engine into. Still top autoshite marks for building a completely new front end for a 17 year old A40, instead of just scrapping it! :D

See, you just don't get that level of home-brewed pointless fiddling any more. Hats off to the chap.

Chevette with a Marina engine. Why?!

I like his V6 Cavalier with steels and 'L' badges, I would love to do something similar to a Rover 620Ti.

He certainly put a lot of work into it.He keeps changing his server/domain name though, which gets a bit confusing.

Good Luck if you do, My 620ti lasted 70 miles.Dont you love £100 cars bought unseen in the pub. D'oh!

Good stuff.Wonder why he scrapped the A40 after all that work? Although I guess he might have struggled finding a buyer!I wish I had a bit more mechanical knowledge...
