The interior in those Sapporos is ace, love the pointless single-spoke wheel and inset instruments. I didn't think you could get decent ones for that kind of money these days.

Ignoring obscurities, you still need a Subaru, Suzuki, Daihatsu and a Honda.

PICTURES

Well we did the 650mile round trip to pic the car up from Essex yesterday and it payed off!!

The car was as the seller said and the small rusty bits shown in the ad were the only bits on the car!! It was actually really tidy!! It drove home the 300+ miles without any probs too!!

It also had a brand new sports exhaust and power steering which we didnt expect!!

Bargain!!

Anyway heres some pics from yesterday..................

Looks excellent! I intend to bosh a set of those cheesy-looking seats in my Galant at some point - they're the same chassis just in 2 door form with different styling, so a lot of bits can be swapped over.Another bonus on that car is that it has (official) optional wheels, they usually get these rather sedate looking 5-spokes.They like to rust a bit, check out the rear strut tops. Though apart from that and obvious areas like the sills and arches, mine doesn't seem to be going anywhere else.

Havent found any rust yet apart from a bit where there is a small dent in quater panel/door, a little dent on the arch and a small patch on rear valence!!

Ok so far!!!

As well as the rare optional wheels it also has the rare cassete player too!! :lol:8)

He will also be looking to lower the car to stop the boat like handling, so is there another car the suspension is the same as e.g. starion??

Oh yea, the seller had some other interesting toys too............

And theres loads more too!!

The suspension is the same as the equivalent Galant/Sigma, though not the same setup as mine as it'll have IRS (my Galant is the live axle scum-spec 1600). The KYB shocks catalogue I have groups the Galant and Sapporo together, I'm sure the springs will be the same. You can get lowering springs from Australia for the Sigma (can't remember where) but I don't know if they're any good.Personally I've really grown to like the stock handling of my Galant. It pitches over to some mad angles, but once you get the hang of it, you can hurtle through roundabouts pretty quickly.

This is the sort of look hes going for.......................

The wheels off that one are on my car nowadays, I really need to polish them up again though.Stu who did that Sapporo lowered it with MK2 Golf and MK3 Fiesta springs or something, he took his standard springs in and looked at the different ones until he found a setup that fit. Though nowdays it's on a fancy airbag setup!
