Ghosty's spots

Seeing as I'm new to posting in these parts and can't drive (yet), I thought I'd start a spotted thread.

So, without further ado:

A PSA pickup of some sort, I want to say home-converted GS but I think it's a Peugeot. Sliding windows too.

Celica over the Pennines at Meadowhall. This was really bloody lovely (plates aside).

The Pretenders would be proud. by Ghostything, on Flickr

The newest, lowest mileage, and highest spec car I'll ever drive - one of BSM's Corsa SXis. So, so bland. The Pretenders would like it, though.

My current primary means of transportation - mother's Polo Twist badermatic, just approaching 50k. One of the wheels has filler in it, that's been sprayed the wrong colour (Audi Silver), because the old man thought it was close enough - by looking at a Halfrauds aerosol can, with nothing to compare to. The 'repair' looks awful, par for the course for old man though.

It's a marmite car: crap on fuel, boring, not super-comfy, but it has a tape player so we can listen to Supertramp and OMD and things. That's the clincher. The mother likes it so it's not going anywhere soon.

The old man has a silver Civic 1.4i SE badermatic that's the old shape but Y reg (giffer owned from new in Carlisle). Rear arches are going, as to be expected. It's home serviced etc. Not used for much more than weekly supermarket trips and occasional long drives to the office (dahn Saaf, in Essix m8). Trying to convice old man to sell up before it's worthless (lost half its value since he got it) but it's hard. I hate the thing (and him), because it's boring, dull, and won't go wrong. Want it to randomly OMGHGF or something like his old Merc 190 did about 6 years ago, so he'll be forced to sell up - he's too lazy to deal with that.

That's all for now - more when I see it (and/or dig it out of my computer).

Hello!, That first photo of the pick up looks like a Dacia but i don't think it is, it's a great spot though as for the 2000 miles thing, didn't they sing about 500 miles?.

Welcome along, that C15D pick-up 'thing' is immense!

That 'pick up thing' is a bastardised Ami 8 and it passes my house every night.

An Ami?

Why, wtf, etc.

Don't ask me, I don't know it either. I just see that poor mutilated thing passing my house every night.

Welcome aboard, love the Ami pick up and the old Celica.

'2000 miles' is a Pretenders tune btw, remember Chrissy Hynde?

Fiat 500 by Ghostything, on Flickr

Fiat 500 in a colour I can only describe as 'filler primer/BL Sandglow'. Big, silly post 2000 plate on the front that looks awful. It's sitting outside a tiny MOT garage at the Notting Hill end of Portobello Road with a 'for sale' sign on the dash, it was something like £5250.
