So long as it isn't a fucking Picasso, yes...

A Picasso would be fun, we could drive over it with the discos or hurl rocks / kittens / grenades at it

I'll weigh it in, but you'll be picking the glass out of the turf afterwards!

Use a Picasso as a kind of bridge?

I was thinking more of a target for practising with heavy artillery

As 'Shitefest 2012' was one of the standout events of last year it's a shame I shall miss the 2013 event.

I am heading over to France that weekend in the Marea. Taking my Grandad to Normandy to visit Arromanches and Bayeux and other places he hasn't been since he was last there in 1944.

I'm sure you'll all have a great time 8)

I don't like tenting.  I don't have a 4x4.  I don't even have a caravan.  I might have to sleep in the Princess if I have any alcohol.  I don't know what I'm doing from one day to the next never mind mid September but [i'll come with] Princess Serendipity (maybe, probably, perhaps)

Krujoe twisted my arm.  He said it's not very far away and it would be awesome.  He's probably a Yorkshireman so I can probably trust him, I'm sure he'd never suggest something that  cost actual money.

Yay, you can make it! I'm sure we can find you an old Lada or Rover with no seats for you to sleep in!

Last year, I'm sure I was the comfiest attendee, I slept in the BX will all but the driver's seat removed, and a full size airbed to stretch out on. Bliss!

I was thinking of using the built in mattress that came with my car.  Will need to put the arm rest up first, obviously.

Not sure I've ever managed a decent night's kip in a car, though Joe's BX bed looked mighty comfortable! Maybe this is one of those time's where I regret not being a drinker...

I will come in a rusty Red Rangey on the 13th, but can't stay over.  I  may also bring a Fizzy on a trailer.

We won't be running a laning trip on the 13th though - that'll be arrival & set-up day for most people. Laning is scheduled for the 14th... just so you know.

I'll have a chat with GDH & Joe and post a rough schedule of events for the weekend (including details of facilities available nearby / on-site) at some point over the next week or two.

Something like this might be an idea... the original catering plan is not going to be possible due to the amount of dicking about involved, e.g. borrowing gas fridges to store food and the difficulty of gauging precise numbers, I think we'll still be able to do hot dogs though, and probably tea & coffee too.

Posted

John, running up to the 13th I'm running flat out with working 14 hour days all week so I'm not going to be of much help personally, but can you please outline the issues we need to fix to sort out the catering for these good people? I may be able to suggest some local solutions...

Posted

I might have to pull out. Been shat upon from a great height at home. To say I am fucking raging is an understatement. Leave me down as a maybe for now.

Posted

Nooooooooooooooooooo!

I hope you can sort it out one way or another Andy - you'll be missed if not!

Posted

Work cant give me the weekend off, but can give me at least one day off, but I wont know which day it will be until a week before.

What is happening on what days?

Sorry to miss the OVROAD twitfest, but I have to go to my brother's pad to deliver the FIzzy and play Warhammer 40K (yes, deeply sad,  but WTF).  Thanks v much for all the organisation and stuff.

That has to be the lamest excuse ever!, Sorry I can't come as I'm playing a computer game...!

See post #164 by John for a brief outline.

I'm guessing we don't need a whole heap organising for Saturday, we'll have enough on, what with chucking axes and arrows about, chin-wagging and putting the world to rights. I expect some entertainment will be spontaneously supplied by a certain binhoker668.

Lameola, yes, but it ain't a computer game!  It's even sadder than that.

BreadVan was this whole thing not your idea? It's like not going to your own birthday party.

WH 40k, blimey....it's like I'm 12ish again...

So, what day is the actual 'lets off-road' stuff ? Can probably only make 1 day (at the moment) - otherwise no Vxhall to hate !

Posted

Flipping heck bready, you're welching out of this to play dungeons and dragons? Impressively brazen if nowt else I suppose!

Working on the basis that Saturday will probably be the laneing day - but it's flexible
