FS: BX TZD Turbo estate

Something has to give on my fleet, so it's the most economical, most practical car that's up for sale...

BX Turbo Diesel with a mere 307,000 miles on the clock. Comes with stacks of history and the only clue to the mileage is a gearbox whine at 50mph in fifth. Had a replacement engine at 200,000. Does smoke and is slightly down on power, so I suspect a boost leak somewhere. Still goes well and is GR12 for dealing with tailgaters.

Bodily very, very good, but not perfect. Some rot in the usual place on both rear wings but not much at all. Rear crossmember is very sound, as are the sills, A-C posts and bulkhead/front inner arches.

In my ownership (since Feb) has had new brake pads, spheres, offside balljoint, nearside track rod end and presumably some stuff I've forgotten as I've spent about £500 on it in total (plus £500 to buy the thing). Tax and MOT to November.

Has 4x electric windows, central locking (with remote fob, that doesn't work), CD player, heater, rear wiper, sports seats etc.

Does need some work, but these are very much the BX to have.

Swaps possible with anything 1993 or older, but I could really do with actual cash. £695ono.

Have some out of date photos.

You know that if I had the cash lying around I'd get Wat to drive this one over for me as well for comedy effect.  But I don't, so someone else will have to have it.

That would be fucking ideal for me. Its cheap to run, lots of space for mountain bikes/rolls of carpet/bodies, I would be able to squeeze it on my classic insurance and it's well withing my price range since I sold the Lancia, its bob on.

However its red and I already have a red car in a slightly different shade and I think they would clash. So for that reason i'm out. Sorry.

For the asking price, I'll definitely* give it a blow over in whatever paint I can find in the garage. There's a tin of Tobacco Leaf in there somewhere...
