gauging interest on getting rid of some french shite

Well, after a winter of none starting and electrical gremlins (which are now sorted) our Y-plate 306 hdi isnt up to scratch for the use it gets. Her engine isnt tired, i dont even think its hit 80k yet, but shes got some battle scars, airbag warning light, has a couple of other issues as well and needs a good service.

Shes at that cross roads were if it was the right car for the job, i would sort it, but its not and a small petrol car is required... and im understrict instructions is replacement isnt to be shite of future shite.

anyhoo, visiting a few dealers selling the cars the mrs wants, they seem reluctant to take the 306 as a part ex, and those that do, said it would be just scrapped, so i'd like to see what kind of interest there is in this french shite.

Its a y plate 2.0 hdi meridan 5dr

has half leather interior in good condition, however i suspect the drivers seat causes the airbag light as the original torn seat when refitted, turns this off.

has a small split in dashboard

has aircon, but the gas has escaped through a split pipe

GTi6 wheels

just under 80k on the clock

its that bluey/silver colour

dented bonnet, scraped rear wing, boot lid and rear bumper

have a full half leather interior with doorcards going spare

tax till june

mot till april

the chances are, that due to other commitments the MOT will be renewed but i cant afford to buy the new car and keep this sat there hanging around on autotrader/ebay/gumtree when we get the new car.

Ideally i want to sell the whole lot to someone who wants a cheap car, and something to practice their body work skills on

If it goes part ex, the old interior is going back in it and the old alloys (3 of them and the spare) will be going back on it and i will sell the interior, half leather, with door cards and the GTi6 wheels elesewhere.

any interest in this or idea of money to ask for?

Not sure. You can't drive it uninsured into a ditch on a tank full of chip-fat, so there may not be much interest on here.

Best guess? Clean it up, ask for £700-800 and see how you get on.

hahaha

just thought someone on here might be after something cheap!

to tart up the bodywork is beyond my skills so to get it done by a body shop will cost more than the cars worth!

£100 CA$H 2NITE

lol... not that desperate and its needed tomorrow!

if it goes for £100 it wont have GTi6 wheels on it!

Yeah, give us a clue please! I'd be interested if it's cheap enough, not arsed what interior or wheels it comes with as long as they're 'legal' and would get me home. Not tried an HDi 306, would imagine it's pretty rapid?

Im looking for a mingebag diesel. Whereabouts are you?

About the same power and torque as a 306 1.9 DTurbo but smoother power delivery - not the old school turbo diesel 'no power, no power, BRAAAAHHHH' acceleration

I think you could easily out-drive a Volvo 460 Turbo driven by a deeply bitter and angry man in a 306 diesel, they have one of the best FWD chassis evar.

Coming from a miserable little cumfart who wrecked this forum twice by 'just commenting' I find that hilarious.

I would debate this further except I'm stuck in a ditch at the moment. Luckily, I'm insured and have 68,732 litres of sifted chip fat to keep me company. Go me.
