Nice Alfa and a decent result with the Caro if it lives to fight another day.

Also, that 125P looks damn hot. 8)

Well bought, would love to own a 155 one day ! Must be a hoot in V6 form... I personally think they're good looking cars, but then, I own a 147, so what do i know.

Get that luxury FSO too when you can and you've got the perfect 2 car garage.

Cor! A proper V6 Widebody!

I liked my 155 a lot, even thought it was understeery. Shame it was written-off amidships by a clueless div in a van, while the Missus was driving it 20 miles to work (it was that reliable). It was such a world apart from my shonky Alfasuds and shonky 33s and to some extent, the Missus's 146ti and half the 164s that got borrowed. Would likely still have it now.

Lots of rust, high likelihood of breakdown, dubious paint quality, panel gaps you can walk through and razor sharp styling.

Awww. well, having previously owned that 155 TS Widey (96/N too) for 8 long years from its fourth birthday onwards, defences are:

Rust? never saw any, it was galvanised where it counted.

Never let me down, all weathers, it was a daily! Ok, except the time the battery went flat, but it was the factory original. £50 later, it took us home.

Paint was fine and looked smart to the day it went for reclaim. No obvious runs, orange peels, thin areas or thick areas. After all it was dipped by robots, like everything else on the market. I should admit it wasn't red, it was 'Northern Blue' metalic. Red went pink on these and looked chod.

Rear doors looked odd at the roofline curve gap, but nothing that bothered me. No rain got in. Nor any Mice. Or lost Peugeot handbrake cabling.

Yeah the styling was a bit wedgey though. Thought it always looked better than Tipo and Dedra though? If only it had been similarly insurable like the Fiat and had the fold-down rear seats of the Lancia. Gearbox was way too tall, and some decent bl00dy seat bolster strength wouldn't have gone amiss. The day it was driven into the yard, all its electricals worked - sunroof, mirrors, windows, fan, etc. Cor, I went off on one there. Oh well. What about the Caro!?

And yeah, i definitely agree it's the best looking of all the cars built on that platform. It's wedgey all right, but in the best possible way. Although i like them all, to some extend. Wouldn't say no to a Dedra, for sure.

The one thing I remember about the Alfa 155 is Gabriele Tarquini rolling one up into a ball in a BTCC race many years ago. NIce cars, bet it sounds lovely and snarly with that V6. 8)

Nice, an Alfa V6 of some sort is deffo on my want list.

Don't bother - I had a 166 V6 and it was one of the most incredibly underwhelming cars I've ever owned. The engine sounded OK, the front breaks were good and the seats were lovely but the rest was just mind numbingly average.

I love those 155s, drove quite a few back in the day and always thought they were better to drive than the press would have you believe and I even like the way they look. That's a nice shade of green too.
