Boils my piss....

Having incorrectly bought a full set of genuine Vauxhall mudflaps (still in their packaging) there were not right for my veccy, I offered them for £25 posted (£2 less than what I paid for them on ebay) on a vectra forum, they were sold, and I was paid via paypal.

The buyer PM'd me stating that sending them recorded would be better than parcel force. Would it now? And who is going to pay for it?

I then replied stating that it was unfair of him to expect me to pay £10-12 postage when he has got a full set of genuine items vauxhall items for £25 posted - they retail for over £50. I paid £6 to have them delivered.

Like the old saying goes "Never look a gift horse in the mouth."

Just send them whichever way is easiest / cheapest for you. If he wants them posted a different way then he can cough for the rest.

Surely you’re entitled to send by whatever service you like?

Here’s and idea*, why not send some Royal Mail and some Parcel Force and see which gets their first? :P

Sometimes they sort of buyers need to remember that you are selling goods as an individual person, and not as a big faceless business with personal delivery.

Some buyers are just cheeky twunts who will chance their arm. Personally, an email like that I would not have responded to.

...Take a dump on his feedback...

*oops sorry - I forgot you said it was a forum - I'm too wrapped up in eBay!

Vvoc by any chance?

A fair few spurious traders on there I'm afraid, which ruins it for the good ones.

The purchaser can just put the standard mail in his pipe and smoke it!

I'm afraid I don't agree... RECORDED delivery is only another 0.90p and safeguards both the sender AND the buyer... I presume you sent them REGISTERED ( Which is around a fiver ) ... totally unnecessary ... blame your Post Office for not advising you properly ! :D

Could always have invited them to come and collect them if they were that concerned

...or just refund his Paypal and tell him to fuck off...

If only there were a thread for this sort of thing.

I would have sent them thinly sliced, and in a jiffy bag, with a tube of UHU, and some instructions, which ended "NOW FUCK OFF!"

I'm going against the grain here. I think the buyer was trying to save you money.

last year I bought a CD changer adapter on ebay.

I told the seller (before buying) that I wasn't sure that it would work but I would like to try.

He said no worries I could send it back and get a refund if it doesn't work.

It doesn't work.

I sent it back.

He says he didn't receive it.

I have a receipt from the post office, but I didn't pay for recorded delivery.

I'm sure that the b@#$d is lying but I didn't pay for recorded so I loose.
