Usual shitter's enemies of time and money are roosting. Too many cars, not enough of either so having to do a bit of a clear out based on what goes first:

some are MOTd some are not, some are nearer than others:

1990 BMW Baur TC 323 Auto

The Hairdresser's choice is the 323i Auto Baur, black leather seats, can't remember the miles but not too bad. MOT expired in November and was just about to put it through again and put it back on the road. A nice car, no rust, roof in good condition, everything works. £600 ONO

1996 Volvo 940 Sport Estate

Main family car, 270k on the clock, engine strong and bodywork mint, and I mean mint, full leather and sport edition spec. This is lowered suspension, limited slip diff and would normally have the factory fitted Turbo + system, this has been removed and a quality manual boost control added and currently set at about 1.5bar to give similar performance to the factory setting. The car is MOTd till July and has 11 months tax. However, the drive train has given up the ghost, lost all gears and not moving - I have not had time to address this but suspect this is due to a drive shaft issue rather than a gear box one, the gear boxes on these are pretty tough. Also could be the flywheel these later 940s had Dual Mass Flywheels with all the fun and games they cause. I do plan to fix this car in the next week or so and if I do I won;t sell it, however, needs must so if anyone fancies a rare, powerful car and the last of the proper volvos then I'd be looking for around £600 ONO with the tax on top.

1990 Citroen BX Meteor

My daily from most of the winter of 2012, great car, Mark's old one. the Meteor has the 1.6 XU engine with a twin chimney solex carb, this means no electrics (hurrah) but also better BHP than ther Tdi version of the same. It is a lighter car than the Tdi and is a delight to drive. Again, I don't really want to move it on but needs must. Needs and MOT and has been off the road since November £350ONO

2002 Mondeo TDCi LX Estate 130BHP

Bought to add to Mrs S's taxi fleet but not quite good enough to make the grade for Edinburgh's taxi facists. Tax till end Feb I think but needs an MOT which just expired. This car has none of the usual TDCI faults and has had a new clutch and dual mass flywheel within the last 200 miles. £900ONO

That Baur must be one of the last baurs as I think BMW started making their own soft top in 1990. I think the 323i motor was killed off in the E30 in the mid 80's and replaced my the 325i.

Is it defo a 323 and not a 325? It's not a South african import is it?

It's doesn't make much difference like it's just interesting. I'd quite like it too as I had an e21 Baur but a possible other new project rules it out (maybe).

No disrespect, but that 940's a bit pricey for the mileage and for the fact that half the drivetrain may have lunched itself. Fully running, maybe £800-1000.

Genuine sports are highly sought after in Volvo circles... have a look on the Volvo forum, they go mental for the grilles

Yes it is a genuine sport efition. The only non sport parts are the wheels, sports came with 4 ectra wide galaxies this car has the 7 seat conversion so has normal sized 940 wheels with a full size spare. As tiff says sports are no ordinary 940 value reflects rarity and desirability in volvo circles, these cars handle more like a 5 series tham a 940 lower suspension, larger amti roll bars and limited slip diff all make a well handling car. Besidea 270k is peanuts for a 900 series! :P

Andt, will come back to you on bimmer tomorrow

I have a horrible feeling that you are a long way away from North London but that BMW looks uber tempting.

For a few seconds I thought you wanted 9 grand for the Mondeo !!! (£900ONO) Suggest a quick edit to the text

Damn that BMW's nice - I'm so relieved that you've a lot of other interest in it as I've nowhere to put it really and having two hairdressers cars would lower my non existent street cred even further!

Yo Uncle Scoots! Have a bump.

I did get your email the other day, thanks - interesting stuff - attempted to reply but it probably got chewed up in a Great Laptop Meltdown I had about a week ago. Will re-do... good luck with your clearout, btw.
