I always used to name my cars. 2CV is called Elly, short for Eleanor after the Mustang in Gone in 60 Seconds. No, I've no idea why I did that either, but the name suits her.

 

The Maverick is the Maverick and neither BX has a name, though the estate gets called the Green Tiger because that's what it's meant to be. The Mini was called Betsy but now has a new name.

My mates wanted to call the Lada Larry... so I called it Jeff "the Depressed" Lada.. the following Polo was called Larry the Polo.

 

My current cars don't have names except I sometimes refer to the XR3 as Lec, as I worked with a Nepalese guy called Lekh... and thats what the plate reads :/

Mrs fordperv had named her escort rs turbo Sharon... The shitter, she had mk2 fiesta 957cc pop called doug, my 3 door sierra got nicknamed "scalextric car" by the mrs mum the mrs calls it "the mistress" my capri got named "white lightning" by my bestmate, the saph hasnt really got a name

Rover 45 is completely devoid of any character or soul, and as such has no name. its just a car.

My wife names everything. My reliant is called Gus after a fat cheese eating mouse out of Cinderella. She is a Disney fan and after a mate said car Lola like a cheese wedge the name just emerged
