So whilst u Poms were scooting around in RS1600 Escorts..the Aussies decided to up the anti and take a car that originated as an HB Viva and then later to become the LX Torana...and developed it into an super spec race prepped 5l V8 Bathurst winning machine...and a few hundred made available to the general public...this is the Torana LX SS Hatchback..if this is the real deal we're a talking six figure sum..I had a blast in the saloon L34 version in Sydney in 1983 aged 16...simply astounding power...never forgotten it...sadly many were stolen [like the one i was in] stripped so now their super rare..so sorry guys...u can keep your million squid Escorts..give me one of these babies any day..it was parked down from my new house..so after the supermarket braved further rain and went home for my camera..
