Evening from another lurker of your fine forum.

 

Old land rovers are my current thing but I have been known to drive some truly shite autos in recent history.

 

I like to drive on the cheap. After selling my lovely old merc 230TE for £500 as a non runner I managed to motor for the next 8 years in 3 different piles of shite for the additional princely sum of £200. A K reg 405SRi, E reg volvo 240 estate and L reg Xantia saw me make my 50 mile daily commute in comfort and style without so much as a misfire.

 

Buying old banger trade ins with your own old banger as a part exchange is the bestest most cheapest depreciation busting motoring there is and appeals to my tight wad nature.

 

The red vulva was my fav. It had been heavily smoked in and had great nose appeal and roof lining patina. I smiled with pride when 3 metre lengths of drainage pipe could fit in the old bus with no open window draughts.

 

I'll dig out some pics and get them scanned in.
