Gigantore unit storage - anyone interested?

WarrenTClaim/Minimad/I are interested in moving into a new unit.

It is huge and comes with all the mod cons of any decent garage space and quite a bit more. It is a proper unit and has a huge amount of potential. There's enough space for a lot of cars and there is a separate area for general non-car storage.

If anyone's interested, pm either of the Marks, the rental price seems to be very good, I don't know too much about it at the moment, but it's not your typical £5 a week lockup. It's huge and couldn't be more ideal for working on cars with nice bright natural lighting through the roof and no counter productive 'nooks' in the structure to get in the way, it's dry and totally secure thanks to electric roller shutter and 24/7 manned security.

(caravan not included)

That looks massive. If I was a bit nearer etc...

Sure you've covered it but make sure your rent includes the rates as councils do like drybumming people for business rates and given the size of the place I wouldn't reckon they'd be cheap.

A two or four post hoist would be an asset in there, charge the others for the use of, and make sure it doesn't get monopolised. It's a bit too far away for me though. Good luck.

The yellow beam on the roof is actually a moving crane!

There's room inside for about 18 regular sized cars plus outside storage.

Would make ideal tyre fitting workshop or with the adding of a ramp, a car repairs/indoor speciality breakers. 3 phase power installed.

It's of no interest to me, but what's the free height under the mezzanine? Could a caravan be parked in there for a tea-room/TV hole? On site security and free lodgings maybe? Also, what's the max weight the mezzanine would carry? Could a 4 post ramp be installed at the front/centre of the railings, and the railing made removable, to enable the storage of bodyshells/rolling chassis etc?

The railings at the front of the mezzanine are hinged to allow loading from the crane. The mezz floor if thick chipboard built onto welded posts and framework and would hold the weight of a car easily, room for 6 cars on and under it. The height of the mezz floor is only about 7' so a caravan couldn't be parked under there, 24 hr on site security is provided in the rent though. Already a decent office with phone and power to use as a retreat anyway.

It's in Birkenhead, Lar Cav.

Looks even better in the day - when I went in it was pitch black and not unlike exploring the bottom of a sea bed floor. Top space and I might be interested as a +1 if I can ever get SCTSH_ANDY to sort out the unit nearer to me - because I'm getting bummed for the amount of rent I'm paying.

I'm *extremely* interested. I wonder if you could PM me the rough location and cost? This could be the answer to my prayers :D

As a thought, if you have spare space you could offer short term storage for those of us that may wish to buy a car in the area but can't collect for a few weeks...

True. It's also only 5 mins drive from the Belfast/Dublin ferry making it an ideal stopover point for a mid 90s V6 Renner.

Just a small "heads - up" , that we're hosting a BBQ at our small garage on Saturday, this is opposite the Gigantore Unit.

Everyone welcome ! PM me if interested in attending, even if it's to poke holes and fun at the Herald and talk general sh→te .
