Moving a few miles along the road we have this Mk3 Zephyr down a mine.

This very possibly could be the former'school bus' we had in Strontian in the 70s..Mum used to pack all the kids into it and deliver them home..i only remember one Mk3 Zephyr..and the 'bus' was blue...it was donated by the Ben View Hotel..who replaced it with a Land Rover which we hated cos it was cold and uncomfortable in the back!

It still has a rear number plate, I'll look through my pictures for it when I get home. It's a B plate and I think it started with AWG.

 

Edit- here's the plate- AJS617B. I was confusing it with the Bedford CA's number, MWG477F.

Thread resurrection for a couple from yesterday, in a rather unstable railway tunnel in the Borders. I'd guess both have been there since the turn of the '80s.

Oooh, any chance of some trim off the DS? I'm half-heartedly searching for the stainless steel trim strips off the top of the rear wings and the one that goes across the dashboard below the glovebox.
