Good grief! How did that happen? You do find some unexpected stuff, don't you! I found a mk1 Cortina in San Francisco, but this has to trump it I reckon! :D

I thought finding an F-Type Victor in Oregon was impressive

Well I was in SF again this weekend - took a drive down Lombard Street (the zig zag one..) and at the top here was this little Mini 25:

Once down the hill the British theme continued with this Land Rover:

Took a drive along by Pier 39 and other associated Tourist Traps from Hell..and the Brits are still around with a D plated Double-Decker!

Moving on to Walnut Creek after a tour round Oakland we spotted this Toyota Celica:

Now on to today and there was a load of old shite in the Easy Bay area at one of the local Scrappies:

Nice Celica & love the black cab pic.

Loving that Maverick - I really want one of those - but the bumpers can FRO, they'd go straight in the bin. The bootlid needs shimming as well.

How large are they? I imagine about the size of a [European] Capri but a bit wider? I thought Chevrolet Novas were quite small until I clocked one at Cholmondeley and it was the size of a fucking XJ6!

I'd say they were small by old school American car standards - certainly bigger than a Capri.

It's actually quite amazing how small a lot of older American cars are these days compared to "small" modern cars...

Only just struck me how similar the front of the orange Celica is to a Buick Electra. All old cars look the same &c.

I never liked the look of that series of Celica - bland as a bland thing...

Actually... there is a good visual comparison of the Maverick in this photo
