That Wolseley is a great spot. Must be a very early post-facelift one with the bigger vertical tail lamps [/anorak].

Ypsilandra, you wern't on the Ludlow bypass this morning were you? I passed a 72 Lancia Fulvia heading north, there can't be many of them round here can there?

You feeling what I'm feeling? Black grille, no side mouldings, steels with just derisory wheelnut covers, stripped out interiors - and a 1300cc Pinto on a VV carb. I'm moist already.

Sorry, not me, I spend my week driving a Renault Master. My Fulvia now lives in Ireland where it's being restored in time for the Fulvia 50 celebrations next year. You probably saw a Coupe, mine was an even rarer 1967 2C Berlina. Here it is at Stiperstones a couple of years back:

Not much about this week, too busy trying to avoid the big puddles, but I did manage to get a snap of this Swedish beauty in one of my customer's gardens.

It's a glorious colour and it's an Estate. TAx disc still in date. Want it.....

Lurking at the end of a drive, on a local plate:

Had a better look this week, the Astra (VAW 303Y) was in company with an Omega. Checked on DVLA and it's a 1300, most likely bought from Greenhous' and was last taxed in June 1994!

I wonder which actual Greenhous dealership it came from. I seem to remember there being a Greenhouse in Holyhead road, Telford (Now Budgen/Churchbridge Citroen) Though being what looks to be an 'AW' plated car its most probably from arounf the Shrewsbury area possibly?

It's been a quiet week, as I tend to drive the same rounds I see the same cars, but have a couple of spottings for your entertainment:

The first was outside a busy garage in Church Stretton, no doubt in for a service as it's where they park customers' cars. Not a Pride, but an original Mazda 121, I wonder how much the roof leaks:

Purr, purr, I see this every fortnight but never manage to get a pic, until now, it's missing the letter S off its plate, spotted in Wheaton Aston, Staffs:

And from a few weeks back, hence the snow. I still would have one of these any day, if only for the handbrake lever, this one lives in Bishop's Castle:

Finally a duo of lovelies, spotted a couple of weeks back near Lydbury North. The truck I think, is a Leyland Boxer or Clydesdale, the camper is based on a CF:

You want a G plate 89 Sapphire? Mingebag spec ex-hire car? Doors rotten, but doors in correct colour available....... Ah go on.... I don't want to see Alky go, but needs must. might be getting a driveway this year instead of a dirt track...

Good to see someone got a photo of those loverlies in Lydbury North :D

I was up there a few weeks back in the dub but it's noisy as fook at the mo so we thought that we (well our lass) were attracting too much attention to stop for photos. :?

Is the Bristol Loddeka still up there? theres a good bit of shite hiding in the fields further up too. Next time I'm taking a quieter vehicle and will attempt something usefull

If you come through toytown in Ludlow pop by for a cuppa, It's the house on the corner with shite outside :D

Haven't seen the Bristol but will keep my eyes peeled. I know one of the fields in question, on the Cabin road from BC, full of chod including an early BMW CSL. Last few weeks it's been raining every time I drive by so haven't bothered to stop, but will try soon.

I haven't taken many pics recently. Here's a couple from last Friday, taken in and around Shitebury:

For sale at Bebb's garage on the A483 at Halfway House, yours for £950

A bit shaky but I think you'll get the idea. Proper shite, early model complete with relocated plate to accommodate towbar. The two chaps in it were pulling into the Monkmoor chippy for tea

And finally for your delight and delectation, belonging to one of my customers and both used everyday. The perfect pair? What's with the grille on the Capri?

Excellent spottingz!

It's a mk2 capri grille on the mk3 capri :)

The Dodge is ace! :D Still se a surprising number of these myself, albeit the later square light ones and usually horseboxes or recovery vehicles.

An early BX in glorious Beige with original wheeltrims, spotted on Trysull Rd, Wolverhampton today. Saw it again a few minutes later coming the other way. A very cool car. Reg is A87 KFD.

Kin 'ell! Ta for the road names. Got a few days off coming up so may have a little sniff around the area to see if I can spot it parked up, I cant imagine it'll have travelled far. That said I bet I wont be able to find it.

Posted

I saw that in Ludlow on Friday, if I'd had a camera with me I'd have been legging it out of work after it. Cheers for capturing it ypsilandra :D

I say that one, it was a beige mk1 that wasn't Tims GT. There can't have been more than one driving around these parts in the last week.

Astonishing. It's not known by the BX Club and has caused a bit of a stir. Looks superb. I don't normally bother with the spotting threads but gems like this mean I should pay more attention...

I drive the same round each week, so will keep an eye out for it. I think I might know which part of Wolverhampton it lives in. If you're ever in the Ironbridge area keep an eye out for the two BXs that live outside the cottage next to the Bedlam Furnaces. One is in use, the other one (an early one I think) looks like an ongoing project. There used to be an odd-panel P6 Rover there too.

This week's spottings for your enjoyment:

Toledo-tastic! Owned by one of my customers in Wellington, on the same road as the BL hoarder. It's a little crutsy around the rear arches but looks pretty soild

8082328849_3648dd22ea_z.jpg

And when not driving the Toledo (or the VW Bora that's usually on the drive) there's this boxy beauty:

And here's one that I'm sure will be appreciated - a vinyl roof to top things off. Spotted today in Penn Fields, Wolverhampton, reg is VVP 22T
