In fact, since there's nothing really "official" or "organised" about any of this, why not host one? Britain is big enough to support a handful of such gatherings, spread about geographically and chronologically. September 2013 at Salford Quays? Count me in, for a start. The rest of the details are up to you, BigGuy...

I would be Up for Salford Quays, Media City (new home of the BBC) would be Ideal, I only live 4 miles away so I could bring My Mazda, Allegro, and My Dad's 25.

Please do, this one's your baby, off you go.... I only suggested September because I have Coniston in April (all being well), and if Lancia Day takes off this year no doubt we'll do that again mid-summer. Plus of course many of us visit the usual crop of shows anyway. Sometimes even in groups!

 

There don't seem to be any rules about this stuff. If you think of a day out that might suit the readership, announce it and anyone who's interested will fit it in. It seems to work, on the whole. That's all I did and the thread is buzzing now, people are keen. For an event a year away! Whether they will be so keen on the day, who knows? Me, I like the element of surprise....
