Does anyone know what happened to BEA 83Y from this photo?

 

Some chap on reddit was saying that there are none left in the UK and I said I know of a couple thinking of these.

 

The white one has been on SORN since 2016 and the red one is no longer on the DVLA database so looks like its been scrapped? Or can it dissappear for other reasons?

 

Don't remember hearing owt about it?

HML says none on the road and 9 SORN'd. Someone here needs to change that! However, there are almost 1000 Talbot's with 'model missing', so there could be some tucked away there too.

If the plate has been put on retention then I think it would disappear from the public database until put on another vehicle.

If its been exported i think it stays on there and says so. My old DAF was exported to Ireland and still shows up.

 

Just seems odd as it looked lovely that. Could've been deceiving though.

It's on retention. The plate isn't on Cartell either which means its been put on retention. If the car had been scrapped it would still show in some places.

I took some acid once and I got really defensive every time this one lad was talking to me as he was wearing a sheepskin jacket. I had managed to convince myself that he was some sort of stereotypical 1970s bombsite car dealer trying to sell me a brown Allegro that we'd seen parked down the road.
