Save these 70's buses coaches from the scrapman

A bit off topic, but Midland Red's first motorway coaches would do 90ish... In 1959.

A good Leopard is capable of topping 80, so you could certainly keep up with the traffic in one.

Instructions:-

1 buy, insure etc

2 reduce to nine seats

3 register it with DVLA as nine seat MPV

4 register it with TFL as congestion charge exempt

5 register it with TFL as LEZ exempt

6 paint "F U TFL" down the side

7 drive around central London causing as much chaos as possible

Any update on the coaches? I hope to God they get saved, but short of finding a buyer for my CLK and arranging storage I'm out. If anyone does fancy some sort of 'group' save I'd chip in a bit.

Maybe we could find a disused airfield or something and have bi-monthly meets where we could all have a drive.

cymru !

Bloody hell! I've just sent info on this to a fella massively into his 70s/80s coaches.  Will now have to tell him to disregard the message as the content was from almost a decade ago...

I wonder what became of them? That's crazy that the 75 YRT didn't sell for £850 and was subsequently scrapped. 😕

Looks like this one survived at least... passed a few more MOTS but on a sorn since 2015.

The others mostly don't seem to have been tested again after 2012 so I presume they were scrapped
