Autoshite Gathering

Is there an annual/regular Autoshite meet? Couldn't find anything on the forum about such a thing and I can't help thinking it would be excellent if combined with pub grub or the seaside.

Is there a sea front wide enough to house us all while we enjoy cheese sandwiches and Thermos soup while it buckets it down?

Is there a windy layby with enough burger vans to feed us all?

Is there an Industrial estate abandoned enough to make us feel at home?

Maybe upset the English Heritage/the National Trust and visit one of their stately homes.

I suppose we could just meet up in a car park, that's usually the easiest option.

Just thinking out loud really, I have this urge to get all the shite together for photographs and fried food later this year if possible.

Something's also happening in Coniston (or thereabouts) next year! I don't think we have anything that could be described as a regular meet, we just turn up somewhere, usually at someone else's bash, and cluster. There does seem to be quite a bit of freeform one-to-one meeting too, usually when a car changes hands.

That one must've slipped under my radar. I'm not sure if I can make it, but I hope I can, could be fun.

Anything up North I can do.... am planning on taking the FSO to Wiltshire on the 14th July if it happens, sounds fun. Long way to drive tho!

If the Coniston meet's still on for next year, and a seafront photo is required then I suggest the lovely* Walney Island, just off Barrow-in-Furness should be visited. As an added shite-points bonus there's also a chance to see a garden that was made over by Ground Force, right next to the parking area.

Stuff Monaco - life doesn't get any more glamorous than that.

*On the two fine days a year we get around here. Which is normally late May/ early June. Which isn't when the meet's planned for.

Waddya mean IF?

I might also suggest the seafronts at Fleetwood and New Brighton as being suitable.
