Blimey, well bought, sir!    Luckily its not a rear wheel needing a tyre!

69b Tractor Shovel bought for a quid. Thought it was a bit pricey at first but seen worse examples going for at least a fiver on ebay

Worth a quid for the tyres, those.   Usually the bucket gets broken off too - its one of those toys that is hard to find undamaged.

A few French additions this week and an unbranded shonky 1980s Volvo 760

The Murena is a HotWheels 1/43 but I think its an old Polistil issue.

Fantastic stuff, Ive never seen examples this early at the toy fair I used to go to.

Oddly I was hitherto unable to locate any newer stuff.

The latest example I have now is the 404, which has the first version of speed wheels, which makes it what? Early Seventies?

That dumper truck is nice....Bernard, isn't it?   Don't think I have seen one in miniature form before.

Posted

Yes its a Bernard TA. My Cousin had an old broken one when I was a kid and Ive always wanted a half decent one since then. It was about 70p or something so I snapped it up!

I have some cheap Vanguards on their way, one is for spares, and the other a fixer upper, both cheap & from Hatton's. Photos when they turn up

Posted

I can haz 2nd hand Vanguardshite. XR2 in resale silver with tiny paint flaws, & the 30th anniversary SD1 Vitesse also in silver, has a missing rear wiper. Fester was £8 & Rover was £9. Happy with em as bound to have a wiper somewhere. Fester was bought as a spares donor. Photos later

Time to add photos of the latest shite in Felly's ever changing mini fleet of crap. Posh packaging for the SD1 as it was done to celebrate 30 years of the V8 beast

Said SD1, no photo of the missing wiper though

Miseried Fester, now eith crappy seats and boggo rims, and minus it's rear wiper.

as todays mini fiddling session was a total waste of time,

so much so that more things now don't work, than actually do work, and even worse these are things that last week DID work, so now i have to think seriously bout getting rid of that little shit bag mini and just accept the inevitable haircut....

to cheer myselt up we went into Whitby to see what was about, and while there visit Alan, the purveyor of the finest* preloved diecast tat in the district.

i bought this

post-18270-0-57800800-1520105210_thumb.jpg

what you cannot see is the slightly jaunty angle on one of the back wheels cos of a bent axel (or is it trouble with the hydrogas?) and even though its well past the glory days of diecast cars (been from the late '70s) i still really like it. it rolls real nice too!

but i like wedges.....

i also bought myself this

post-18270-0-76750200-1520105398_thumb.jpg

another Commer, this time a Co-Op milk float to match the nasy van i bought recently.

this is really nice and bright, ok so it wasn't dirt cheap, but it wasn't crazy stupid expensive either.

i still need to get shot of that fuckin' mini though.........

Is that the absolutely tiny wee shop on the High Street? I had a nosey in there last September when I was visiting there.

Today, I'm going to explain to you - - - life!

Life is kind to you. Everything is in perfect harmony.

Life is when you receive a parcel that has real stamps on it.

39890318124_dc9c89bbea_b.jpg

Now.

If that parcel, that has real stamps on it, contains this:

39890316714_d2a82978f5_b.jpg

That's life.

Life is not what the fucking EU tells you it is.

Life is much more than that.

Ooh nice there JM

Posted

Yeah, the EU.....Where Greek sellers can supply Austrians living in Britain with French chod.   Er....Weren't we doing that before politi-bollocks?    As you were.

BTW that tango Godess is fucking lush.

if you mean the "curio corner" opposite the old town hall in the old town, then yes, that is the place!

Love shops like that. Wish we had summat like that round here. Her Junkman's fleet of wonky plastic is impressive to say the least. I know there is a 1/43 scale Sherpa campervan due out in a French partwork very soon, and they've done a Commer PB campervan in the series, I deffo want to get my hands on the Sherpa, even though its a left hand drive version

I have to say that when I visited last September there was absolutely nothing of note Im afraid. Obvs he buys and sells and its just your Donald what you get on the day!
