Frontera Sport for sale

Time has come to move my Fronterror on. I'll just need to check out the paperwork but it's a 1993 (IIRC) on an M plate, 2 litre petrol. Clock says 90k but I've no idea if that is genuine as I've got no history. (I bought it on a whim in December 2010 to keep me going in the snow.)

It's got MoT until April but no tax.

It had a bit of welding done for the last test under a rear seat belt mounting and a new tyre. The tester mentioned that there was a lot of surface rust underneath, so I rubbed it all back, coated it with converter and Waxoiled it. I've fixed a leccy window but that apart, I've not done anything else other than clean it.

Bodily, it looks reasonably ok (depending on how fussy you are!) It's had some metal let into the o/s sill at some stage but got through the MoT without any mention. Couple of scrapes and bruises as you'd expect. There are half a dozen 10p sized scabs on it which again I've sanded and converted but they will need doing properly if you're that way inclined. There are also two holes in the body, again about 10p sizes behind the rear o/s arch but once again i haven't tackled them. O/S rear tyre has a v slow puncture - takes a couple or three weeks for it to go down. There is a detachable radio which doesn't work and a car-phone aerial!

I haven't used it for a while but it does start, run and stop well (to use a well worn cliche) and it's not as agricultural as you might think. The heater also works.

No pics yet (you all know what a Frontera looks like, to quote an ad in the Tat thread) but I'll put some up tomorrow if anyone is interested... It's dark and covered in snow at present...

GR9 in the snow and remember, it was a Frontera that drove up to the top of Snowdon last year :D

If anyone from here is interested, is £350 about right?

Bit cheap I reckon, even with the short test. Would have been interested if this was for sale a few weeks ago. Might not have a knackered back too!

Hmmm. Count me as a bit interested, although I can be almost as indecisive as Trigger

:-)

Awaiting the pics as I'm not sure what a fronterror looks like.

Good price that, especially since you only need to add tax. Parts are cheap, there's a good owners forum and they're are nowehere near as bad as most of the haters will tell you.

No, they're far worse!

However, for that money, as you say it just needs tax. Bargain.

Add another £150 and you're talking, I reckon.
