Tow ball cover

Ran over one of my tow ball covers the other day. :(

Places like Halfords charge the earth for even the basic cover and I really want to replace it with a metal one.

Anyone pass/work/live near TN19 7PN?

http://www.caravantech-shop.co.uk/produ ... over-metal seems very reasonable. I might as well get a couple but a special journey would make the purchase uneconomical. :(

Maybe meet up at a show or pay for postage, if anyone can combine a visit with another journey etc.

This is Autoshite - use a mouldy tennis ball with a hole in it.

I saw someone who had used a plastic bottle the other day.

Must admit it looked quite reasonable. :)

These ones are about £50 :-

Unfortunately they foul the exhaust on my 1100s. :(

Just checked because our postcode is TN but its a forty mile round trip from the DSdoghouse.

I once had one of those posh ones but it mysteriously disappeared when they took the towbar off to replace most of the underneath.

I can't help thinking the "posh metal cover set" looks like a set of male genatalia - cojones plus (oddly-positioned) salami. Obviously spent too long visiting some of the less salubrious sites on da internetz innit! Regardless - and I'm donning the flameproof jacket, now - they just look wrong from my view  .

Tennis ball fine - any random towbar supplier's 'cover' from the scrappies is even better :) . One from the scrappie with a reflector is DA BEST! :D

Thanks for checking anyway.

Looks like it's a tennis ball until I get to go that way. I'm certainly not paying the rip-off prices I've seen for local plastic caps!

Keeeeef.

Im off to the Caravan Show in Manc today. I'll see if I can nab a freebie. Sometimes there are some (advertising suppliers, but the white motif removes easily enough with some meths).

Most kind.

Gladly pay for postage and buy you a pint (oil or petrol only if you are driving, of course :) ).

Be careful how you source said tennis ball:

Bugger all at the caravan show, sorry Keef. Quite a disappointment.

I wonder if he'll knock a couple of quid off if one of us collects it, worth asking.

Yeh, only about £50 in fuel to pick it up from Worcestershire. :D (thud)

What about the show otherwise?

Yeah, saw two very nice caravans (out of zillions) that both the wife and I liked & agreed on then got embraced by a mad woman from work who stumbled upon me in one of the vans - Cue much questioning from the wife.

Why do women have to be over the top flinging their arms around you and kissing you - a simple "hello" would do :?

LOL!

Sounds like you might need the ball cover. ;)

Because they are naturally sadistic and know exactly what will happen the moment they leave! Watch them greet their single male friends... it's more restrained than siesta time at the MCC!
