The 1.0 AX is pretty miserable. The 1.1 woul only be slightly more on the insurance but a lot quicker

The 1.1 is a rocketship in comparison, but the 1.0 is a lot faster than a Raleigh Grifter.

My wife seemed to quite easily and regularly get 80mph out of her 1.0 AX. The four-speed gearbox is stronger than the five-speed as well.

 

Have I mentioned that a Peugeot 1.3GL might be ideal? I know where there's one for sale funnily enough...

(well, 954cc is even more accurate). I consider 17 seconds to 60mph quite sprightly!

It'd be a lot faster in a Peugeot 106 1.1. Especially a metallic red one.

I had a p reg ax 1.0. Fag packet light. 50hp single point injection in that felt pretty reasonable. It even had a 5 speed box! They were 13 seconds 0-60 - which isn't bad...
