Some of you may recall my Christmas Flowchart last year.

Well, in continued antipathy towards the festive season, here is my Christmas Flowchart 2011:

Shirley someone has the IT nouse to stick a countdown on here to when it's all over to allow those Miserati amongst us to know when it's safe to break cover?

I, that's me, personally loike have been collecting parts for a motorcycle build on ******mas Day.

I have done my festive bit by throwing the ashes of £20 I burnt in the bin.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hum bug.

Feck off

Oh Lordy...right

'83 GS550E frame

ZXR 750 USD front end with CB9 head light and ZXR clipons under machined top yoke. Small digital Trailfinder(? I forget) clocks.

Zephyr swinger (twin shock)

Bare metalled CB9 tank

Owner made single seat unit with metalflake green vinyl seat with CB9 rear light in Z250 rear cowl.

And the silliest bit....oil cooled GSXR750 slabby engine with an original Vance and Hines side winder drag pipe and set of flat slides. Few fancy bits like billet clutch slave spider and see through clutch cover.

Green metal flake wheels. All in all going for a sort of cafe racer/hot rod thing.

Done the dry build. Done the loom build. Done the strip down, again . Now off to powder coating then BUILD BUILD BUILD.

Be nice to fire it up ******mas Day with that V&H cannon!

I feel that some of you do not have quite the positive approach to the festive month that I have adopted over the past decade or so;

It's the 15th,

Christmas cards, bought from poundland, 40 free photographs of my dog (looking festive) attached

addressed, posted

Presents bought & ready to be wrapped

Turkey LEG - the finest part of the bird (& about £7 for 5 pounds) bought, boned, stuffed, wrapped in bacon, tied & stuffed in the freezer

Vegetarian nut/onion/mushroom combo made & frozen

Family all invited months ago

canapes & amuse bouche created & bunged in freezer

Decorations up

& here's the best bit

I've been buying 18 bottles of Merlot a week from Aldi for a couple of months now

together with other shite like advocat & bourbon & baileys.

The fuckers can all turn up Xmas day, all I have to do is prepare potatoes & brussells

everything else is sorted & I will drink myself into a stupor.

On waking up boxing day Mrs barefoot & I will potter down to the pub

where we will be merry with friends

& that,

is an end to it!

Sounds like a nice little project! I like cafe racers. Will the cam cover come off the engine with it in the frame (for valve clearances etc.)? Any idea what the steering geometry is going to be like with the (presumably) shorter forks & (again, presumably) smaller front wheel?

At daybreak on the 25th, I'm going to do a lap of the M25 in TV2, which is something that I've never done before, but have always wanted to do. Upon my return home, I'm going to spend the rest of the day alone listening to obscure 1980s music with a bottle of two of Riesling :)

Miserable b@st@rds. I'm going to sit at home in my new socks looking at my Autoshite calendar.

My stepdaughter and her family are coming to visit, landing on Christmas Eve. They're not staying with us, but will be in attendance on the Day, for which Emma has promised to cook us Christmas Dinner. And I'll have the Scalextric up, so that'll be me and the boys out of the way all day! Unless we decide to go down to the beach and look at the shipwrecks... (there are two now!).

I'll probably just spend the day in a cheap hotel with a litre bottle of Aldi vodka whilst holding a loaded firearm to my head. I might play the "how far dare I pull the trigger?" game for a while.
