Due to being lobbed into cripples corner courtesy of my OMG industrial accident I'm on the lookout for something easier on the wallet than a petrol W124 and 1.8 Escort.

Any offers of cheapo mingebag dizzlers or sub 1100cc pez powered shitboxes would be appreciated along with any suggestions on what to look for.

Cheapo tax would be a bonus. Not arsed about insurance groups.

Mercedes and Escort for sale. Both with decent amounts of tax and test. Bid me an offer.

I'm going car shopping with a friend on Sunday, if it goes well his old motor will be looking for a new home sharpish. Its a 2001 Suzuki Ignis 1.3 automatic with 160k on the clock. PM if interested

We had a 2006 Ignis, it was bloody lovely! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay exceeded all my expectations. I even had a race up the M6 with a Boxster one night. Don't know who was more surprised: me, that I was keeping up with him at all, or him, that this little red upright hatchback had the cheek to be pushing him! It was wife's daily from new, but also towed trailers for me, and more times than I care to think about I filled it with assorted shite for various reasons. It went up to Inverness and down to Portsmouth (different trips  ) with never a hint of a hitch.

Um, I know of a 1.0 Seat Arosa that won't be nastily expensive, has a long MOT and would satisfy your tinkering needs.

You might have been racing the Boxster but the Boxster wasn't racing you.

Ignis Sports are really quite rapid and handle surprisingly well (not that i am suggesting a Porsche could not beat it). i am not sure what the point of them is as they look like a pensioners mobile but drive like a hot hatch. can't see what market they were going for there.

You cannot request to buy a certain car without being offered one of these, it's the law:

Mondeo Mk3 2.0 petrol?

You can have my Polo for £275* if you want?

I have a slightly smaller engined escort, or a Volvo S70 2.5 Turdbo if you like...

Oh I'm quite sure he wasn't. It just took him several miles at the far side of the speed limit to realise what was happening! In fairness, I wasn't actually racing him either, as such. He just happened to be in my way when I was in a particular hurry this one time.

Billy's Mondeo looks like a right good deal....
