Not got many old models left from that job lot I bought.

Most of the ones left are GR8. On the left we have a Polistil Alfa Canguro, on the right a Dinky 1900 Sprint.

I'm a big fan of Polistil's output, their 1/18 Countach was particularly ace. There was only one shop locally that sold them outside of Manchester when I was little - oddly enough it was a tiny newsagent in Coppice. They used to keep them on the top shelf, before I knew the other meaning of treats from that area of the shop.

A couple of heroically knackered Spot-On Amazons, with sliding steel sunroofs. These weren't in the collection I bought.

BEIGE P1800. Not for sale, ever!

Assorted crap. And a FED-2 camera.

A JRS Citroen H Van. Solid-axled with a sliding door. This was at the bottom of the third bag marked 'dross'.

Then there's this Solido Citroen XM that I probably should sell to Lord Sterling but a deep distrust of the Royal Fail precludes me from posting it.

And you're having another photo of my Starter Kronos Peugeot 806 Touring Car, mainly because it's effing great - although I need someone with modeller's hands to retrieve the wiper that's fallen off and the dashboard which appears to have worked its way loose.

I know Partridge will think that big XM is most fuckylicious

Where are you based about D_g? I'd give both my bollocks for that Solido XM, assuming the Mrs will let me have them back.

Thanks once again IainL. They are now safe & sound with a new owner. Even modelshit seems to pass between shitters on here!

And yes that is the box from the Lego Back To the Future DeLorean DMC12 in the background.

I know they've gone to a good home. Nice wee models with great boxes, no nonsense, just some pictures of the car.

I'm in Cheshire / Manchester Ian. I should probably bottom the situation out with Mr. Sterling before whoring it off elsewhere. Dunno if either of you are doing the NEC or owt.

Got one of these today:

Hyundai Pony Mk I in 1:43 from the official Hyundai Heritage Collection. So let´s hope there will be a Hyundai Stellar soon!

Posted

Saw these on Ebay, I think they are bigger than 1/43 and have pull back motors in?

Posted

You are right! They are 1:38, as I discovered 5 minutes ago. But you only recognise it after comparing them to other cars that are real 1:43-ones. At the first and second look, you´d say the Pony is 1:43 as well.

It says "pull-back-motor" on the packaging, but I will never use that because I keep my models stored in the original boxes. I´ll recommend this Pony-model, it´s very nicely built, the detailing is fantastic except the hubcaps and the only fault I could find are the headrests for the rear seats. A very nice model of an extremely rare car at a fair price. And no, I´m not selling them.

They need to do the Stellar though as you say. At 1:38 its pretty close on old Corgi scale of 1:36. They are a good price I saw
