Excellent video Skiz. I really enjoted that, very professional editing. And to think I took a course on video editing too, I don't think I could make anything near as good as that.

I had a Dedra from 1994 for tŵo years, and I can honestly say it as the biggest pile of "auto shite" I ever owned. Was offa the road more than on, never again.......

That's the point, surely? ;-)

Yes I suppose so, but I did want to drive on the road a bit more and enjoy it. I suppose it taught me a lot about fixing cars I guess.

Nothing Like a shitter to teach you spanners! When I bought the old Yugo off Nige a few years back, I drove him and Bollox to distraction with stupid technical questions about alternators...still get ribbed for it now, hut as unemployment, illness and poverty followed within 6 months I was fixing mates modern cdtis for hard cash! You are spot on

Stick with it Skiz, you'll get it sorted in the end.  Bet it seems like a money pit right now?

Yep! This is how the conversation with Alfa Mike went:

Mike: You do realise you could spend £4k on this and still end up with a £250 car at the end of it, don't you?

Skizzer: Yeah, probably, although I don't particularly care about the cosmetic stuff and if the engine's completely bolloxed then we'll most likely give up.

M: Yes, but you could have a fully working non-Integrale Delta HF Turbo for less than a grand. How badly do you need a boot?

S: But I found this one and it needed rescuing. There's only a handful left and most of the others have been barried about. It's my moral duty to save it. Unless the block's cracked or the bulkhead's rotten, obviously.

M: [stands back and looks at Dedra thoughtfully, not entirely affectionately] They're quite, er, distinctive looking, aren't they?

S: Hush, it'll hear you. Look, I realise I'm not going to make any money on this deal.

M: [sadly] No, I don't think I am either. I suspect I'm going to spend a lot more time puzzling over this thing than I'll ever bill you for. [shrugs] Come and have a sit in the 914...don't mind a bit of mildew, do you?

I'm impressed at how easily that alloy wheel came off after six years.  Or did you just edit out all the pulling / kicking / whacking with a lump hammer?

I was surprised too - didn't have to edit out any strife: the nuts gave up immediately thanks to a 3' breaker bar, and the wheels just lifted off. The rear brake calipers took 20 minutes of hammering and swearing each side, mind you. I did edit that out.

Thanks Mo, that's very kind of you. Just done in iMovie on a Mac, which makes it pretty easy really. I did shoot quite a lot of footage (kind of left the camera running on a tripod while I got on with it) and binned about 90% of it. The continuous movement from the slider really lifts things, I think - it would be quite dull without it.
