Could you be about to recognise that the only true excellence in faith in French car worship is to follow the church of PSA rather than the self delusional Church of Renner Chod you have previously parked your jacksay in?

is this a dual carraigeway to damascus in a 505 Gti moment?

2.2 INJECTION------THE 4 Cylinder PRV Engine shared with Renault 20TX,,,25 GTX and various Volvos

Peugeot Renault Volvo-----PRV....Same designation given to the V6s used by the same companies (R30 ETC). That same V6 of course was used in the Delorean,Alpines etc etc.

I didnt know the 2.2 was a PRV job. Is it really the same as a Renner 25 engine? Most interesting.

I hope you've got some secure parking for it because it's GR11 4 XPROT.

Yep,,,all alloy, ohc, timing belt etc etc....And actually the american version of the Fuego used this 2.2 also. They only got the 2.2 Injection and the Turbo, where we got the 1.4,1.6, and the 2.0L in the GTX(which is a smaller version of that same PRV engine.)

Actually Citroen have it in the CX Also

actually the PRV is the V6

the four cylinder is known as the "Douvrin" engine. I don't think it was used by Volvo but it certainly is common to pug cit and ren.

Some of the parts look very similar to the V6 but I think that the Douvrin is a tougher engine

Volvo had no need to use the Douvrin, as they had their own perfectly acceptable four pot:

:D

GR9 buy, by the way, RM. One of my uncles had a dark blue A-reg 505 GTi back in the early 1990s. It was really spacious and comfortable :)

The 2.2 also made it into the Espace..... and not forgetting the 2.1 Diesel that was available.... would one retrofit into your Pug to bastardise it?

That looks very nice.

A Lynn Faulds-Wood style investigation using a 1985 Peugeot-Talbot brochure leads me to believe the colour might be Pagoda Red?

That's absolutely beautiful, with the much nicer early interior too. Think 1985 was the crossover year for that. Does it have A/C? And can you tell who the supplying dealer was, can't make out the sticker.

Sorry about the late reply on this one. Doesnt have A/C.....Supplying dealer was Regal Garage,Bromsgrove Ltd.

Now that I have my Wifes Koleos, and the 505, I think it may be Citroen time to complete the French Trio?
