Anyone in the Bristol area who can give a temp. home to a polonez for a couple of weeks?

I bought one off ebay and the polish owner rang me last night and said he wants it gone before he leaves for Poland on Monday.

I had pre-arranged to pick it up weekend of 24th-25th when Im coming to Bristol for a stag do.

It currently has no battery, tax or mot, was going to bring a battery pre book for mot and drive it back to Oakham.

I'm really going to struggle to get down to Bristol this weekend, family member is in hospital but don't really want to miss out.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

thanks

If no one on here can help, try Bruce Holder (Mystery Machine) on Retro Rides. He runs a 'club' out of a largish unit in Bristol (Area 52) & is a really helpful bloke. Also has the tools/knowledge to shift ity without issue.

Otherwise -nothing useful to add -sorry. Hows the Pickup? Expanding the fleet?

Thanks Nigel, I'll bear him in mind.

Pickup is currently in for mot, been at the garage over a week, they are struggling to get wheel cylinder.

someone on shiply has offered to bring it home for £125, seems ok?

problem is seller wants cash on collection, not sure what I can do about that unless I go down to Bristol on train, meet shiply driver, then maybe he would bring me back along with the car? hmmm

Wheel cylinder? Front or rear- have you got a piccy? its probably Fiat -send me a photo & I'll try to match. i've got loads....

No piccy atm, I haven't heard from the garage in a few days, last I heard they had contacted freedom caravans who were trying to source some. I'm guessing they may come back to me soon if they fail to get any. If they do I will take a photo and email it you you Nigel.

cheers again

Picked up the Caro Diesel yesterday from Bristol. Organised someone through Shiply to bring it back as no tax and mot.

Yeah me too :), at one time there were lots of FSOs in Norfolk, the country yokels and old farmer boy types lapped them up, yours is probably the only one now
